Of course, it's such a thrill to be on the stage of Radio City; but still, we wore these t-shirts at the rehearsal that said 'we feel like bastards at the family reunion.'Collapse )

10th-Jun-2009 10:31 pm - 9 to 5 cast album release date! Yay!
bsg → call me god
9 to 5 cast album release date has been announced! It will be released on July 14 on the Dolly Records label. The original Broadway cast recorded 9 to 5: The Musical May 3-4, at Legacy Recording Studios in New York City. The disc will be available at the Marquis Theatre (where the show plays) on all digital formats, in retail outlets and via www.dollypartonmusic.net.

Stetphanie also gave a really interesting interview to blackbookmag.com. I'm posting the interview under the cut if anyone wants to read it.

So before we get to the staples of 9 to 5, I have to ask if all the incidental Wicked quotes that seem to pop up in this show have anything to do with the fact that you’re a former Elphaba and Megan Hilty is a former Glinda?Collapse )
10th-Jun-2009 08:40 pm - Nothing Like a Dame
bsg → call me god
Stephanie will complete the cast for the all new Actors Fund's "Nothing Like a Dame" benefit concert on Monday, June 15, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues).

For "Nothing Like a Dame," Stephanie will appear alongside previously announced "dames" Andrea McArdle (Annie), Betty Buckley (Sunset Blvd.), Audra McDonald (Ragtime), Bebe Neuwirth (Chicago) and Kelli O'Hara (South Pacific) for this one-night-only concert event. "Nothing Like a Dame" will also feature Broadway favorite Nick Adams (Guys and Dolls, A Chorus Line).

Hosted and re-constructed by Seth Rudetsky, the all new "Nothing Like a Dame" concert will feature a new format of songs and stories from the performers (inlcuding Stephanie), as well as rare video clips from earlier days in each of their remarkable careers, accompanied by commentary from Rudetsky and the performers themselves.

EDIT: Tickets can be ordered by calling 212-221-7300, ext. 133 or by visiting actorsfund.org

Is anyone going to this? It does sound really interesting, with amazing performers as well!

Also, Stephanie and the rest of the 9 to 5 cast had their caricatures unveiled at The Palm Restaurant in New York on Friday June 5th and some pictures were added here to anyone who's interested! :)
